Amsha Engineering Limited takes the opinion that the private sector plays a key role in national development through a business approach to social outreach and civic engagement. The Amsha Executive believes that businesses have a responsibility to contribute to the social wellbeing and environmental sustainability of the communities to which they belong, including their stakeholder communities. It is with this mindset that Amsha Engineering Limited has proudly supported social development and community engagement within Siparia and environs.
Some of Amsha’s CSR activities in the community include:
- Supporting partner of the joint Proman/Ministry of Health drive-thru mass covid-19 vaccination initiative at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva.
- Donation of tablet computers to underprivileged children to support their remote learning amid covid-19.
- Annual sponsorship of community Easter Sports, including full sponsorship of the flagship marathon (race refreshments, medals for all finishers and trophies for overall places 1-5 and age categories).
- Annual sponsorship (generators, lighting towers and financial) of community Indian Arrival Day Curry Duck Competition. Team Amsha also enters the competition each year.
- Upgrades to affiliated schools to prepare for reopening in compliance with covid-19 regulations, including donations and installation of washbasins, paper towel and soap dispensers, and swing top bins.
- Annual Christmas treats of schools and the community.
- Annual sponsorship of community Divali celebrations.
- Sponsorship of local cricket clubs in Siparia and Penal.
- Road patching works within the community.
